Crowd-sourced treasure hunting
Let's find treasures together.
The Crowd is out there right now, spotting treasures in thrift stores, consignment shops and clearance sections. Browse what it has found near you, or tell the Crowd what you want and let it look for you.
How it works
Two ways to put the Crowd to work.
See what the Crowd has already found, or send it looking for exactly what you want. Either way, you only pay when you unlock a Find.

See what the Crowd found
-
The Crowd spots it
A Crowdmember sees something great, snaps a photo and posts it as a Find with the price and condition. The exact spot stays hidden.
-
You find it nearby
Browse Finds in your feed or on the map. Filter by category, distance and claim fee, and save the ones you like.
-
You unlock it and go
Pay the claim fee to see the exact location and the Scout's notes. Open directions and get there before it's gone.

Tell the Crowd what you want
Post a Find Request: the item, your budget, the claim fee you'll pay and how far you'll travel. Posting is free.
-
The Crowd goes looking
Every Scout within your distance gets an alert right away. When new Finds match your request, we send them to you automatically too.
-
You pick the one you want
Several Scouts can answer. Compare their Finds, unlock the best one and go get it.
Requests stay open for 72 hours. Need more time? Extend one for another 72 hours for $5.
Why the Crowd
You can't search a thrift store.
Thrift stores, pawn shops, consignment shops and off-price stores don't put their stock online. The only way to know what's there is to be there. The Crowd is there.
Every Find on CrowdFinds is something you couldn't have found any other way: spotted in person, photographed on the spot and posted with where it is and what it costs.
- Thrift stores
- Consignment shops
- Pawn shops
- Off-price stores
- Clearance sections
- Furniture outlets
Each Find can be unlocked by just one person, so you're not racing everyone who saw the same deal.
Protected by the 2-hour window
If it's gone when you get there, you get the full fee back as credit.
After you unlock a Find, you have 2 hours. If the item isn't there, tap Item Not Here while you're at the spot. We check that you're within 100 meters, and 100% of your claim fee goes back into your CrowdFinds credit.
There are no cash refunds. Item Not Here works once per claim, at the spot, within the 2 hours.
- 0:00You pay the claim fee. The exact spot and the Scout's notes appear.
- Any timeGot it? Tap Confirm Pickup and the Scout gets their Crowd Bonus.
- Any timeNot there? Tap Item Not Here at the spot for 100% credit.
- 2:00The window closes. If you didn't report anything, the Scout is paid automatically.
What the claim fee buys
You're paying for where it is. You buy the treasure at the store.
Claim fees are usually 10% of the item's estimated value, from $3 to $25. You always see the fee before you pay.
You get
- The exact location and store
- The Scout's notes, like the aisle or section
- One-tap directions in your maps app
- 2 hours of Item Not Here protection
You don't get
- The item itself. You pay the store for that.
- A hold on the item. Other shoppers can still buy it.
- Cash back. Refunds come as CrowdFinds credit.
A second life
Every Find is something that gets used again.
Hundreds of thousands of furniture items are thrown away in the U.S. every day. Many of them just need a new home.
When the Crowd spots a solid dresser, a reupholstered chair or a table someone else gave up on, it gets a second life with you instead of a trip to the landfill.
Already spotting treasures? Join the Crowd.
Delivery drivers, thrift regulars, commuters and neighbors already see what's out there. Post it as a Find and earn a Crowd Bonus of 70% of the claim fee every time someone unlocks it.
Is the item held for me after I pay?
No. The claim fee unlocks the location, and the item stays in the store for anyone to buy. That's why every unlock comes with a 2-hour Item Not Here window.
How do I pay?
Checkout opens on a secure Stripe page in your browser. You can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. CrowdFinds never sees your full card number.
Who can see my location?
Nobody sees your own location. Before a Find is unlocked, Buyers only see an approximate area, and we remove location data from photos before they're uploaded.
